Adolescents' Information and Awareness Raising Campaign against IPV/Dating Violence/ Gender-Based Violence and Sexual Violence
This campaign was developed by adolescents and targets every adolescent in Greece with the aim to sensitize all adolescents on how to build healthy, equal and violent free intimate relationships, based on mutual respect, and what they can do to resist to any form of violence.
More than 480 adolescents from 21 schools and 11 Communicty and Day Care Homes of The Smile of the Child in various areas of Greece, at the end of their participation in the adolescents' awareness raising workshops, created material for the realization of this campaign. 26 groups of sensitized adolescents created posters, drawings, videos, presentations, collages... in order to convey their messages to their peers, boys and girls, in the entire Greece. Very strong messages about:
- gender equality
- equal and healthy intimate relationships
- recognition of violence in adolescents' relationships
- how to react and resist to any form of gender based violence
The Campaign's phases:
A. Competition for the selection of the winner: 30th May 2016 - 20 June 2016
B. Exchibition of all materials in the framework of the National Conference on 27th June 2016
C. Duration of the campaign: there is no expiration date: the campaign will be "alive" as far as adolescents are interested in the campaign's messages.
